New developments in the case of the Wesleyan shooting a few days ago:
- Apparently Justin-Jinich’s roommate this year was a friend of my brother’s. My brother and his friend had been good friends ever since elementary school. Wow.
- The convicted shooter was still in Connecticut and had not fled the state or even the general area. He was found in Meriden, a neighboring city to Middletown where the college is located. I have actually stayed at a hotel in Meriden before and plan on going back there in a few weeks to the same hotel for my brother’s graduation.
- Morgan’s sister appeared with the police pleading for her brother to turn himself in, which he did.
- I did not mention this earlier, but Justin-Jinich was in fact Jewish, which went along with the threats her murderer had made towards the Jewish community.
- A campus-wide vigil for Justin-Jinich was not permitted yesterday, since the campus was still in total lockdown mode.
