Black Hockey

19 01 2009

In light of today being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I have decided to share an article about the African Americans/Candians who are currently playing in the NHL.

The Caps have enforcer, Donald Brashear. “Brash” is known as one of the toughest fighters in the league.

The Caps used to have both Mike Grier

and Jason Doig

back in the early 2000’s.

There are other blacks in the NHL too, like rookie, Jerome Iginla.

jaromeiginlaSo here’s to blacks in the NHL! I love minorities in the NHL. And why shouldn’t I?  It just goes to show you that Jackie Robinson wasn’t the only sports player to brake the color barrier. Keep up the good work guys!
